    Markus is an android, designated RK200, designed to discover and put a stop to the rising cases of deviancy among androids in Detroit.

    Connor is a customised household android, designated AX800, belonging to a household in Corktown, Detroit.

    Kara is a prototype model RK400, belonging to a famous painter located at 8941 Lafayette Avenue.

    Based off of a singular image on the steam board for D:BH that really got me thinking - eventually it turned into an entire fanfic! This is supposed to be an entire, yet canon-compliant, swapped-positions AU of Detroit: Become Human. If anyone's wondering before diving in: Kara is now Markus, Markus is now Connor, and Connor is now Kara (in the broadest sense of who they are and what their story is). I did my very best to keep it all fairly similar, yet tried to add my own differences (enough to change some major plot points, I hope), this is my first, properly edited and written fanfiction, so of course expect some mistakes!

    I may come back to edit this summary if I find something more fitting - but for now, this is all I've got!

    One month after the successful revolution, Simon finds his way back to New Jericho, but in the weeks that follow, something is wrong. Simon finds a concerned Markus outside his bedroom door. Memories are shared, and truths are uncovered, and it becomes impossible to pretend any longer that everything is okay.

    There's a new war, and New Jericho is the battlefield, as Simon, Markus, Josh, and North struggle to come to terms with what might happen when things fall apart. Blurring the lines between friend and foe, this new war proves more dangerous than even the most violent revolution. Because if you can't protect yourself, and you don't know who to trust, nowhere can ever be safe.

    This is a story of a nonlinear path to healing in the aftermath of the end of a world. The end of a world that mercilessly refuses to stop spinning at a rate that's impossible to catch up with alone. Luckily for Simon, he'll slowly learn that he doesn't have to.

With Markus' support, even Simon is beginning to adjust to the new normal, trying his best to put his past behind him. But a message from Connor changes everything. The world might never be safe. But Simon realizes that regardless, in the face of adversity threatening to knock him to the ground, he'll always find the strength to get back up again. And he still won't have to do it alone.

    The PL600, once hailed as the most advanced CyberLife domestic android, is now considered obsolete; too empathetic, too fragile, too slow, too sensitive. Simon knows he's broken in more ways than one, and the sharp cold Michigan nights do nothing but aggravate his already struggling temperature regulators. Luckily for him, the warm Manfred Manor has plenty of space for another guest.

    Meanwhile with the imminent return of Detroit's residents to a city filled with deviants, a meeting called by the President on the horizon, and CyberLife's reputation in tatters, the decision to deploy the RK900 is made. They need to prove deviants are dangerous, and a plan is hatched to give the RK900 an ability to counteract its RK predecessors.
