The customer cuts him off with a pursed-lip shake of his head, just enough that Namjoon sees a trace of pink hair move in front of his ear. “No, no. I mean… which finish is easiest to paint over? When I’m done with this one?”
Namjoon looks at the pink-haired customer, then looks down at the soft blue paint sample. “Why would you paint over it, though? It’s so delicate and refreshing at the same time. This is not a blue that has hurt anyone, ever in its life. This blue makes croissants on winter mornings and fluffs the comforter before getting into bed. Why are you already planning its demise?”
The customer’s mouth falls open slightly, the small pout exaggerated by a wrinkle forming between his brows. “That… was illuminating.”

or: Namjoon works at a paint counter. And at a museum. And at being a functional person, a kind and productive member of society who can do more than pine ineffectually in the general direction of enigmatic, pink-haired customers.

But Jimin just smiles, nodding. "You'll show me what's under your hood?" His fingers curl in the waistband of Seokjin's jeans, barely dipping under the fabric.
"Yeah," Seokjin rasps as Jimin leans in, grinning at him. For a moment he thinks Jimin's going to kiss him. Or maybe eat him.

(no namseok though D:) the descriptions are vivid and the imagery is stunning. i adored this.

“we didn’t kidnap him. he is here very much of his own volition,” taehyung pipes in. he slaps at jeon jungkook’s shoulder. the boy looks sort of pained, and yoongi can’t blame him. “we met him at a street corner, near jimin’s work. it was raining, and he didn’t have an umbrella, and he was looking kind of lost, so we asked him to come with us.”
“and you just went with them? two strangers? them?” namjoon stresses, and jimin and taehyung look kind of uncertain, like they’re not sure whether they were just insulted.
jungkook merely shrugs.
“you end up doing all kinds of shit,” he says, and yoongi perks up at the sound of his voice, “when you live out of your car.”

Summary
He talks to Yoongi all day, every day. Sends him random, funny anecdotes about work, pictures of little dogs he sees on the street, and ridiculous selfies. Gets equally ridiculous selfies back, along with pictures of Yoongi’s plants or the dinner he’s cooking that night or the other boys. Seokjin sends him a video of himself on the beach and Yoongi retaliates with one of his grumpy face beneath a bus stop in the rain. Seokjin complains about crunch at work and the fact that he’s started practically living in the office and Yoongi sends him silly alpaca videos all day until he’s giggling at his desk from more than just the unholy amounts of Redbull he’s consumed.
They’re 9,580 kilometers apart but he thinks that Yoongi has never felt closer. And in his chest the love takes root.
Starts to bloom.
