“There’s a lot of things unusual about that!” Kaveh retorted.
It was true. It was unusual. Kaveh had taken Alhaitham as somebody distant, in terms of wanting to do things with one another. Since they hadn’t been living together for a super long time, Kaveh wasn’t aware of the hidden fantasies Alhaitham had of him (and vice versa).

A groan. “Of course you will.” Another fidget of his foot. “Were the wedding papers really necessary, though?”
… Perhaps he ought to explain that part, too.
Or, Kaveh reads a top-secret report on Alhaitham's desk and insists that they take matters into their own hands, which somehow leads to them signing marriage papers and going undercover in Mondstadt.

He raised his key, distracted and tired and damp.
Then he saw it.
A box.
A cardboard box, slouched and soggy, its edges bowed out from the water soaking through the seams. it sat just under the eaves, barely shielded from the worst of the rain. the top flaps were open. and inside—
His breath caught.
A blanket, pale yellow, soft looking, with a stitched sun near the corner. And nestled inside that blanket, squirming ever so slightly, was something small.
...
Inside the box, on a damp towel, was a baby.
