He hasn’t been engaging in Katsuki’s attempts at conversation. Not because he’s trying to be rude. Speaking just takes a lot of effort. So much work. And then the thought comes. Quick, cold, detached as if ripped out of some magazine headline, churned out of some goddamn journalist's laptop keyboard.
"I think I kind of want to kill myself," Shouto says point-blank. Katsuki spits out his drink.

Summary
He thinks of being this close all the time, every day. Getting a cat, or maybe two, and arguing over the names. Hearing Bakugou come home at night or get ready in the morning, the sounds of his presence floating through the apartment walls; water running, cupboards opening and closing. Something complete, theirs. Without really thinking, he blurts out, “I’d quite like being your husband, you know.”
Bakugou's jaw drops. After a moment of staring at Shouto in silence, he finally shouts, “Fucking what?"
Maybe that was a bit fast.
Or: Shouto accidentally proposes. Katsuki not-so-accidentally says yes. The funny part is that they're not even dating.

Buck is staring at his ceiling, flickering city lights breathing through the window above his bed. He's been crying a lot lately. Over wet dishes, over sunlight hitting his furniture at pretty angles, over nothing at all. It’s how it always starts.
He gets emotional; then he gets numb. He never manages to settle on which one is worse.
This is the part where Buck realises, quite matter-of-factly, that he’s probably going to try to kill himself.
Or: Buck keeps it together until he can't. Luckily, he's got Eddie—and he'll be damned if he lets his best friend slip through the cracks. It takes two.

Katsuki used to be insistent on getting the groceries alone; hated having someone hovering over his shoulder, rushing him, changing his route around the store. Everything's always different with Shouto, though. Next to him—always next to him—Shouto reads the labels on the products and bugs him about cat-shaped ice molds or whatever else they've got in the clearance aisle that week. Nattering on about I miss when strawberries were in season or Katsuki. Look. Themed ice-cream, and then attacking him with those big, mismatched eyes and a Please? It's not fair how pretty he looks in shitty fluorescent supermarket lighting. It's physically impossible for Katsuki to refuse.
Or: Katsuki and Shouto are probably too young to be this domestic, but they're doing it anyway.
