Summary
That summer, Dean and Cas found in each other a refuge from the heat and the chaos of their real lives. Believing it would all end once the seasons changed, they allowed the wildfire to consume them. But when Cas gets hired as a professor at St. Charles Academy, where Dean is about to graduate, they need to figure out a way to survive the school year without burning on the flame that lit back when they were living for the hope it all.

"We did,” Dean says, “but it spilled on the floor.”
“And—” Cas pulls in a breath, a little shaky. “If you had… relations. Would this help, too?”
"Cas—"
“Will you show me?”
Dean swallows a hard lump in his throat. “What?”
Cas places a palm on the top of Dean’s thigh. It’s not hot, yet it burns like a brand. “Show me what it’s like to blow off steam.”----
Dean and Cas make a drunken, spontaneous decision to hook up for the benefit of each other, no strings attached. It gets more complicated from there.
