It’s 2011 and Frank Iero’s life is pretty average until the night where he starts getting dreams about a strange, apocalyptic California where there’s rayguns, grey corporations and terrorists who use art and colour as a weapon. Interesting and fun at first, but the more he dreams about this world, the more he starts to wonder if it really is a dream... and the deeper he gets into this futuristic world, the more it seems to affect his life in the present day.
And just how exactly does everything all seem to link in with that douchebag black-haired artist who sits in Starbucks every day?
(Set in the Danger Days world but not necessarily following the canon established by the album and music video's.)

Summary
For Gerard, love can only come in the form of possession. If he is owned, he is loved--if he is sold, he becomes nothing. Untouchable in the eyes of the man, his Master, whom he held above all others.
For Frank, love is...enigmatic. Romantic. You can't buy it on street corners or in seedy bars on the outskirts of town. You can't steal it. You can't force it or kindle it from nothing. At least, you're not supposed to.
Love was certainly not what Frank expected to find when circumstances led him to spend his final $5k on a broken human being put up for auction on the bad side of town. Love...you didn't give that to creatures like Gerard.

Summary
“Gerard, I-I need to tell you something…”
Frank Iero’s life was turned upside down at the ripe age of thirteen. His parents were getting a divorce, his mental health was rapidly declining by the day, and his mom apparently had a new shiny boyfriend to go with their new, less than shiny house. The only thing that was keeping Frank together was his best friend’s older brother—and okay, maybe his best friend a little too—but mostly it was Gerard. Gerard was cool, and tough, and smart and everything Frank generally wanted to be. And just as he was about to reveal his biggest secret to Gerard, the person he put his trust into the most; he left. Ran off with some boyfriend apparently and left Frank behind in the dust. Now, Frank was left to fend for his own and try to figure out how to deal with carrying the weight of his secret on his still growing shoulders.
That is until two years later, when Gerard turns up back at home and turns Frank’s whole world upside down yet again.

Summary
In Gerard's experience, there were things far worse than being labeled the Teacher's Pet. At least being a pet brought him kind words and physical affection.
If you asked Frank, the school's new art teacher was a fucking creep, and he didn't know why his best friend cared about the man's opinions so much. The more time Gerard spent in the art room, the less he seemed like himself. He was keeping some kind of secret and Frank prayed he could save Gerard from it before it took him to his grave.
