He stared at the corpses as if seeing death for the first time, spellbound by the red tendrils that rose from them like steam. His legs shook; his stomach roiled with sickness; it took him three tries to slide the Master Sword into its scabbard. Zelda drew closer, her brow creased with worry, a faint aura of light still shimmering around her as she reached for his shoulder.
The Gloom recoiled from her touch, and Link flinched back, clutching his arm, digging his nails in again to feel something, anything else. She snatched her hand away as though burned, staring at him through the darkness.
“Link?” she repeated, her voice shrinking down to something small and scared. “Can you answer me?”

Summary
The Other Side of the Night follows Rose Tyler and her unexpected return to the TARDIS during the year that never was. It has been a long separation for Earth's defender and she is not the same girl she once was. She is having a difficult time coming to terms with some major changes to her physiology, as well as battling her personal demons, while hiding from the Master. She needs to find her Doctor and reverse this hellish year. But will he accept her even if she not same woman who was ripped away from him years ago?
The Doctor is done. Captivity under the Master's thumb has been difficult to endure and he is sure that, even after this year is over, he will not have anyone left to lessen his loneliness. When the sudden appearance of a mysterious new companion shakes him from his melancholy and offers him new chance at hope, he is almost afraid to take it. But there is something familiar about this woman's quiet acceptance of his eccentricities and uncanny ability to understand his hearts. "I love you," she blurts out and Ben...his eyes widen with confusion, the burning intensity softening to be replaced with shock. He swallows hard, glancing from her eyes to her lips, then back again. There's a soft pink bleeding across the tops of his cheekbones and over his shoulder she can see Anakin dropping his face into his hands.
Ben opens his mouth, but seems to struggle to find the words for a moment. When he does his voice is slightly higher pitched, breathless in a way that makes Rey's knees a little weak, "Is...is this a new Resistance counter technique to interrogation?"
