Summary
What starts as Taehyun opposing another one of Yeonjun’s terrible, god-awful ideas, soon turns into something more. Taehyun is introduced to Beomgyu, a guy who makes his blood run cold and who gets in his hair without even trying. Despite their bickering, fighting, quarreling, or whatever you want to call it, something unknown keeps making them meet again. Like a cursed kind of magnetic force.
Taehyun likes to think that it is because his fate has been ruined and he’s been sentenced to eternal doom. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s because he and Beomgyu are like the sun and the moon.

Beomgyu didn't really know what had happened to him. Of course, this was a recognisable feeling, but he thought he’d healed. Everything was going well. He was happy. His friends were happy. But his mind told him he shouldn't be. His mind told him to suffer, to skip meals again, to avoid talking to those he loved. And while the skipping meals part was difficult, he found it easy to shut down a little more everyday. He spent more time in his room, cracked less jokes during practice, declined innocent hangouts because he was “too tired” or “had other plans.”
It genuinely came out of nowhere. But that was the art of depression: surprise attacks that lacked a catalysing force.

"A new trainee? At this stage?" He wipes his glasses on a tissue. "You must have heard wrong, Kai-yah. Instructor said there will be no new trainees now."

Taking the heart, the child excitedly inspected it, nodding in glee. “Yes! My mama told me that when someone leaves the hospital to go to heaven, we all fold a paper heart for them! Like this, like this!”
“That’s right,” chuckled Soobin. “But do you know how it started? It started here, in this room. From a boy who used to fold a paper heart every day for his lost love, hoping each one he makes will take him closer to the day those eyes would open again.”
"Unfortunately for him, the day never came."
In other words, a hopeless love story of two childhood best friends who didn't realise what it meant to have each other until it was too late; compiled of yearning, loss, forlorn hope, unrequited love, and every tragedy in between.
