Summary
Monster boys were not made for love, and they certainly were not made for each other. They were not made for anyone, in fact. No one awaited them at the end of the aisle, and the color white was not designed to touch their impure skin. They were only meant to hurt themselves and others.
And good god, have they hurt each other. Naruto’s bedroom door still has a hole from a punch that was meant for Sasuke’s face, and Sasuke’s phone screen is cracked from the last time he tried to aim it at Naruto’s head. Their rage is a contagious disease that they’ve yet to cure, and it’s not healthy in the slightest.
But Naruto can taste Sasuke’s breath as it fans across his face, and he can smell the detrimental mix of weed and the mint gum he had spat out earlier on their walk. He feels the heat as it radiates from Sasuke’s body, feeling it seep into his own from every point of contact between them. Sasuke’s awful but Naruto likes him that way, and he’d genuinely rather bear witness to the view from halfway down than to ever live a life without him.

Summary
Some days, they were friends. Other days, they were enemies. Then, in an interim between both of those, they were more. On those special occasions, Sasuke’s fingers would trail along the sliver of his chest exposed by his exomis, and press bruises into the flesh of Naruto’s hips. They’d never go further than that, though. Sasuke’s lips would never touch his own.

AKA, I reuploaded this because I just wasn't liking how the first version was coming along... It didn't focus enough on SasuNaru for my liking, and the writing also just wasn't meeting the standard I'd set for it, lol. So, please forgive me and enjoy this slightly more polished version instead!!

Summary
Riku still isn’t sure how to feel about it, or about any of this. The him of the past claws at his ribcage, and whispers that he needs to run – a cornered animal baring its teeth. The him of the present settles anxiously into the pit of his stomach, and murmurs that it might be safe to stay – an exhausted animal revealing its underbelly.

Summary
Xiao’s focus remains on the lantern, watching idly as it drifts further and further away. It’s such a fragile thing, a frail and flickering flame just waiting to be extinguished. The Adeptus had never understood the novelty of it or how anyone could place faith in such a weak object, but looking at it now, he thinks he’s beginning to understand.
