She and Alan continue exploring the island, looking for a way to contact those whom they miss so dearly, especially Ian. Along the way, they find and flee from a previously unseen variety of T. rex. When they find a room full of raptor restraints, Ellie learns how freeing it can feel to submit to the one you love.

Jurassic Park 3 broke my heart! I wrote this to cope. AU where JP3 is literally only a nightmare. Part fluff, part smut, part retcon..... mostly art therapy.
July, 2001. Alan and Ellie find a pair of Deinonychus skeletons that died while mating, and sneak off for some mating of their own. When they return, they are confronted by part of Ellie's past that she'd hoped was behind her forever. It's enough to give Alan the worst nightmare of his life, a nightmare of a life without Ellie.

A Spinosaurus wanders by, acting like a real animal, while Alan remembers an old nightmare in which it acted like a monster. Those other raptors show back up to engage in voyeurism/exhibitionism and the female tries to molest Alan. Just another morning on Isla Sorna.

In one of his letters to Gene Rodenberry, writer Theodore Sturgeon criticized the constant rewrites of his material. He referred to the revision of the end of “Shore Leave”, where Dr. McCoy is surrounded by half-naked showgirls, as a “first-order Vulgarism”. He went on to give an example of a third-order Vulgarism:
“The whimsical friction between Bones and Spock is brought to a head by McCoy’s diagnosis that the Vulcanian needs a prostate massage, and must have it. But Spock’s prostate is not near his stern, but his sternum, or breastbone. So we have MED CU McCoy rolling up the sleeve of his tunic, not to the elbow, but to the shoulder.”
So what if television in the 60’s wasn’t full of a bunch of cowards?
