The kneeling girl turns her head, just slightly, just enough that Louis can see her face in profile. His eyes narrow, zooming in as far as the lens allows. She hesitates, the smallest flinch in the way her hand falters in the other’s grip, like something inside her is pulling away from the ritual.
Louis swallows, lowering the camera for half a second to blink, because what he sees can’t be right.
Not the white, glazed eyes like the others. Not vacant or empty. But sharp, alive, green.

Harry tilts his head back, eyes glinting with mischief as his nails trace down the front of Oli’s vest, slow and teasing. “Oh, don’t be so dramatic,” he purrs. “He’s not going to kill you.”
Oli arches a brow. “No?”

“What thing?” He asks softly as Harry puts his empty plate to the side to pull his legs to his chest.
“The happy thoughts thing,” he mumbles, resting his chin on his legs. He’s scared Louis doesn’t even know what he means, and feels embarrassed that he brought it up in the first place.
“Of course.” Louis nods with a soft smile, putting his own plate to the side and Harry breathes out a sigh of relief.

Harry’s cheeks burn, a flush rising to his skin as he glares at Louis, his pride the only thing keeping him from completely unravelling. “I don’t.”
The smirk on Louis’ face deepens as he steps closer, his breath warm against Harry’s ear. “Liar,” he whispers, smirking, the word sending a shiver down Harry’s spine.

Concerned, Louis puts on his shoes as he keeps hearing the sobs. It’s the middle of the night and the phone call has definitely pulled Louis out of his deep slumber, but Harry is crying, and Louis has to be with him.
“It’ll be okay, baby, I'm gonna come over, okay? You just- Haz you have to send me your address, yeah? Can you do that for me?” Louis asks, trying to remain as poised as possible as he presses his phone between his ear and shoulder so he can grab his jacket.

The shop goes a tiny bit darker as the lights dim a little with a deep whirring noise.
