    Summary

“Is disappointing, no?” Ilya hummed thoughtfully, dragging a thumb lightly over the slit. “To be so close to something you really, really want.”

    “Fuck you, Rozanov.”

“Mm. You would like that. But no. Tonight is important lesson in humility.”

"Big word there. Don’t hurt yourself.”

"You played good game tonight, Hollander." He punctuated his words with a firm stroke, earning him a small groan that tumbled through Shane's lips before he could catch it. "Must have been too easy."

    "Oh, screw you-"

"In here, it will be different." Shane opened his eyes to glance up at the other team captain, who sported a wicked grin on his face.

"Tonight, I remind you what it's like to work for what you want."

Ilya Rozanov does not like to lose, especially to Shane Hollander. And when the Montréal Metros crush the Boston Raiders in a humiliating 8-2 score, a certain team captain shows up at his door with a toothy grin and little too much pride in himself. So now, off the ice, it's Ilya's turn to show Shane just how fun it can be to settle a score.

A.K.A my take on the "one goal for each inch that you want" texting scene, with a twist :p

Caught between the roar of the rink and the hush of a locked door, Shane insists he can’t stand Ilya, but everything changes once he’s pinned, moaning “Daddy,” and Ilya starts calling him “baby” like a promise he intends to keep.

    Summary

Here's the thing about Clark Kent that nobody knew:
    He had rules.
Not the kind of rules his parents had taught him—be kind, work hard, use your abilities to help people. Those were givens, baked into his DNA (or whatever passed for DNA in a Kryptonian). No, these were different. These were survival rules, developed over years of trial and error, designed to keep him sane in a world where he would never quite belong.

    -

Clark Kent is perfect, ridiculously good looking, and completely commitment-phobic—he has to be, so he can be the Superman everyone needs. Until he meets Lois Lane, who fucks everything up in less than 24 hours. Except she doesn’t remember any of it.

*Very loosely based on 50 First Dates - but without the gross stuff

    -

LOIS: ok so i just read back thru our texts
    LOIS: and i have questions
    CLARK: I have answers. Maybe.
LOIS: why do i keep calling u alien boy
LOIS: u dont look like an alien
    LOIS: do u?
CLARK: I look like a regular person.
LOIS: thats exactly what an alien would say
    CLARK: Lois.

    Summary

Clark smiled back at her, a ‘congratulations’ on his lips yet... something held him back. It was hard to distinguish the line for himself, between being friendly and feeling like he was showing too much, feeling and exposing too much.

He focused on the story instead, quickly using his speed to read through the article– surprised (although, he didn’t know why he should be), that it was actually very poignant and perspicuous— it was smart and just the right amount of funny. Just like Lois.
