Let's assume the clones having wings created a butterfly effect (ha!) where Cody and Obi-Wan handle the big stuff. This is a story about the little guys outside of opsec, the ones who Cody would totally write very detailed guidance for if they ever got to demob, and the life they could live. -

He was bookish and timid and dutiful and obedient, even as Robin. A model citizen and any parent’s dream. In other words, he was practically perfect in every way.

When his grandmother breaks her leg, it's only natural for Dick to take a year off of the circus move in with her and help her out for a year. Yes, Nonna, your opinion is matters but so does your health.
He may accidentally have gotten himself cursed, or blessed depending on who you ask, and now is the proud owner(?) of a fairy circle in another world(?).
Anyway, Dick saves 10-year-old prince Damian and gets attached. He'd like to believe that Damian gets attached to him too.
