Summary
16 months ago, Cas became human.
12 months ago, Cas left the bunker and a broken-hearted Dean behind.
Now they must work a case together, where married couples are dying mysterious deaths and the only way to earn the neighbors' trust is by pretending to be married. Summary
On the road, Dean has no responsibilities except to his car and his stomach. Baby’s tires hammer across the pavement--singing their freedom--and it’s as familiar to him as the decades-old Rock and Roll mixed tapes blasting through the speakers, and just as loved. The open road is the only place he has ever belonged.
Then there’s Castiel. It was never meant to be a permanent thing, this… whatever it is between them. Dean picks him up on impulse--a hitchhiker along the side of the highway. He doesn’t know where he came from, only that like Dean, he doesn’t know where he’s going. So they drive and before long, Castiel becomes Cas, the best friend Dean’s ever had.
He didn’t anticipate running into Cas’s long-lost kid along the way... Or maybe, that only opens the door to the best part.

Summary
Canon divergent from end of S8 - After Sam recovers from the Trials of attempting to close Hell and Castiel adjusts to his new mortal state, Team Free Will decides to set out to Massachusetts for a case to get their feet wet again after months of recovery. Dean and Cas have to work around their feelings for each other and everything unspoken - like Lucifer's Crypt - between them and Sam has regrets and wishes of his own. While they deal with all this, people are being murdered at AKC dog shows, it smells witchy, and to top it all off, something's off with Castiel. (Completed work, posting Wed and Sat).

Summary
Castiel and Dean meet for the first time on a plane ride out of Nowhere, Alaska. Castiel’s headed home after an impulsive solo vacation and Dean, a hardened Alaskan native, is just trying to get out of the impossibly small town he grew up in that’s got nothing left to offer him. That is, until their plane explodes in mid-air, crashing headlong into the Alaskan wilderness and killing everyone on board save for Dean and Castiel. When no rescue shows up to save them, the two men are forced to make some tough decisions.
