Blake is confident she can do this. She knows of her skillset, her capabilities and how unmatched they are compared to her allies. The details she puts into her work ethic are unlike others. Stealth is her element, working undercover comes as naturally to her has breathing air, but it’s the idea of doing this with Yang that rubs grating like sandpaper against her nerves.
“You want us to work together?” Yang questions with a palm up and moves forward.
Blake’s eyes slide to her back and its broad lines, trying to ignore the yellow glint of Yang’s prosthetic.

Summary
To someone without eyes it would have looked like nothing, but to Blake it meant everything. She knew exactly what Yang meant to her now, the emotions it possessed and while it scared the hell out of her it also thrilled her. She knew the extent of her feelings, knew how deep they ran but Yang continued to stay an enigma. The flirting between them wasn't new, just more heavily charged than before but Blake's frustrations ran awry with the simplicity of wanting more than what was being given.

Blake does everything in her power to act like she is not charmed by this. “Are you saying I’m better or worse than a stinky nasty teen boy?”
“I’m saying,” Yang begins, tensing her abs again. Her voice is high and tight when she says: “That I’d rather it be you.”

Summary
Vampires have struck in Vale.
And it's not like that's new, but it is new for Vale. Enforcers Yang and Pyrrha are sent to investigate the situation -- only to find there is more going on here than murders and disappearances. There are such things as ancient evils lurking in the dark.
Except someone, something, is forcing Nightshade's hand -- forced her out of her vault, out of the dark, and straight into Yang's sights. And Nightshade is far more entangled in this Vale case than she initially seems. In fact, she may be the one pulling all the strings. She may even be the most dangerous killer Yang has ever met.
Except there's a terrible sadness in Nightshade. And it doesn't make sense, but it's there and it's all-consuming and she couldn't possibly be so evil if she regrets so much. Torn between protecting the mortal world and her growing affection for the creature she's been ordered to destroy, Yang unravels the web of secrets in Vale thread by thread -- and maybe unravels herself while she's at it, too.

“Oh, come on. ‘Ferry Strike Drags On?’” Jaune complains, reading from the board. “It’s like Schnee doesn’t even want us to sell papers.”
“Better than another election puff piece talking about how great he is,” Oscar grumbles with a shrug. “Hawking that stuff makes my teeth hurt.”
“C’mon, guys, lay off. What do I always say?” Yang asks, tone dripping with cloying encouragement.
She’s rewarded with eye rolls and a ragtag chorus of voices ranging from unenthused to vaguely hostile: “Headlines don’t sell papes, newsies sell papes.”
