Summary
“It’s an invitation to go to a university and talk to some bots, what’s to make of it?” I said. Then the obvious reason behind Bharadwaj asking occurred to me. Oh, great. “Don’t tell me you’re actually thinking about going?”
“I’m considering it,” Bharadwaj said. “I set my own schedule these days, and I would very much like to speak with the bots they’ve been working with, if nothing else.”
I sighed. I like sighing at appropriate moments, and I think I’m pretty good at it at this point. “There are bots on Preservation.”
“True, but the Pansystem University of Mihira and New Tideland has one of the most advanced programs in this section of the galaxy for the construction and study of higher-level bots!” Bharadwaj said, making one of those hand gestures she liked for emphasis.

AU after Fugitive Telemetry. Bharadwaj, Mensah, and Gurathin take a trip to do some research and rapidly uncover more than they'd bargained for. Why did Murderbot tag along on this low-risk research trip? Listen, don't worry about it.

'Keeley furrows her brow, reopening the lid of the envelope from where it’s been tucked in to keep whatever’s inside safe.
Inside isn’t an official application, it’s a letter. It reads:
'Dear Person in charge of Bake Off,
I’m applying for a place in the tent on behalf of my dad, his name’s Ted.'
or, the bake off au that absolutely no one asked for.

Summary
Carson runs a set like nobody Greta has ever met.
There’s a measure of playfulness, of equal respect all-around that Greta isn’t used to. The ship sails smoothly, and Carson is the captain.
It’s rare to have a woman photograph her, too. Greta is used to men. Men who come to shoot at all because it’s her, because of her body. Because they’re hungry, and Greta lets them be, because there’s no way she couldn’t.
Even after the first outfit she models, Greta can tell that Carson isn’t like that. She practically waltzes through the space as she gets the angles that she wants, never gets closer to Greta than what feels comfortable – but Carson also never even has to ask if it’s okay. She just seems to know.
(Or, a photographer x model AU set in Los Angeles. The one where Greta wishes people knew she wasn't art, that she was just a woman. And Carson does. Carson has always known.)

Summary
“A witch’s oven is a particularly stupid place to hide.”
The boy looks up at her, eyes blown wide, dirt and ash all over his face and clothes. He’s a scrawny thing, bony knees, hard cheekbones—not worth roasting, even if she were interested in that sort of thing.
He doesn’t, as she expects, fly out of the oven. He doesn’t brandish a stick or a knife. He’s trembling, his voice hoarse, blood visible on his lip when he whispers,
“Please. Please don’t tell them I’m here.”

Summary
Greta forces herself to stand her ground, thinking idly that her unexpected lingering guest kind of reminds her of Maybelle: full of responsibility and seemingly looking for a moment away from it, unafraid, searching for a place to belong. It’s enough to give her the tiniest rush of affection. But Maybelle makes her think of Jo, and Jo makes her think of Ana, and Ana makes her think of Terri, and Terri makes her think of the church, and the convent, and Carson–
God.
Everything comes back to Carson.
At this point, Greta knows she shouldn’t think of her, but it’s hard.
(Or, Greta is now in New York for the off-season, and she's doing the whole seeing other people thing Carson joked about that night in the kitchen. It's not going well. But luckily, Carson decides to make her way to New York, to see Greta, to finally, finally make things right. It just might take a second to get there.)

Summary
A simple contract renewal. She sees dozens of them all year. Usually already signed and taken care of by a very dutiful Higgins. Looking at the name at the top of this particular one, however, it has nothing to do with any of the players – nor is it Higgins’ responsibility. This one is all her.
Theodore Lasso.
The end of this season marks the last of his three year contract.

Summary
Leslie makes another dying whale noise. “I thought it was Sole… like the bottoms of trainers and Mates… like friends.” He offers vaguely. “People who enjoy sport and are friends.”
Rebecca rolls her eyes but manages to bite back calling Leslie an idiot, only because of Ted’s influence. Instead she straightens her back and takes on her ‘boss’ tone. “Well, obviously you’re going to have to cancel our appearance as Ted and I are not a couple.”

Summary
She’s heard the stories. Death’s keeper who lives on the moors, alone—the dark, solitary man who rules the underworld with an iron fist, who says who can leave and who must stay, who changes the laws of nature to suit his whims. Rupert always warned her of his brothers—their temperaments, he said, far worse than his own. She was lucky, he said, that he’d found her first, such a pretty thing.
But he doesn’t look anything like Rupert’s retellings. His eyes aren’t black like snakes, they’re brown, and warm; his hair falls in his face sweetly; and he’s wearing white shoes with red laces.
The God of the Underworld, in trainers.
