Summary
There’s someone standing in his kitchen.
He looks young, maybe close to Max’s age, with messy dark brown hair that’s pulled back from his face by a red bandana, and he’s leaning against the kitchen counter like he’s supposed to be here.
Max’s first rather unhelpful thought is; fuck, he’s gorgeous. His second, more reasonable thought is;
“Who the fuck are you?”
“Charles Leclerc,” the man smiles. It's a little bit dazzling and Max is not at all distracted by it. He extends his hand for Max to shake. “I’m your new executive sous chef.”
Or: Max is very happy with his life, thank you very much. He has his restaurant, his team, and two Michelin stars at the age of 24. He definitely does not need some pretentious Monegasque chef coming in and throwing everything into chaos.
Except, maybe he does.

Charles wonders now how he ever thought Max wouldn’t understand.

Charles reaches across the counter to hit Pierre’s shoulder, effectively cutting him off; not without a string of prideful laughter. “I do not—” his cheeks flush, and he cuts himself off, huffing. “What does that have to do with fucking cat ears?”

The team is tired. It’s obvious in the scents that have been crowding the locker-room, the bus, and now the plane. Roman is slumped against Shea’s shoulder, headphones askew, putting out his own muted scent—like tea gone cold. Shea would be more worried about it if they didn’t have the following day off. It’s hard, on circus trips, to really look after Roman the way he wants to. Sleeping, showering, and eating separately when the time pressure’s too much. He can tell by the way Roman’s clutching at his sweater, fingers knotted in the hem, that it’s been hard on him, too.

You’ll be under his care while I’m in surgeries, he’ll have some other responsibilities, but he’s going to try and figure out what’s wrong with you.”
“Nothing’s wrong with me,” Ronan grumbled.
“Is that why you’re wearing that gown then?” Adam quipped."
Adam is a surgical intern at Cabeswater General Hospital, just trying to get enough sleep and maybe get some time in the OR. When Gansey suggests he should work on connecting with patients, he introduces him to firefighter, Ronan Lynch, and his feels his world start to shift, maybe just a little bit.
