Childe had an odd affiliation with the ocean since he was a child and while it could be blamed on the fact that he came from a small village by the sea it was akin to coming home.
He recalls the many tales his grandmother had passed down. An unpredictable curse that befell their family every couple generations. He remembers sitting by her feet in her small cottage, her lap layered knitted blankets as he rested his head against it and she would untangle the mess of curls on his head with a patient hand.
“Ajax” she would begin, “every hundred or so years there would come a child from our family who is born with bright red hair and green eyes. As they grew, they would fall in love with the ocean. Forgetting their family and freinds, forgetting their home, and eventually forgetting themselves. Then, once they reach adulthood they would disappear never to be seen again”
