Summary

In his desperation Kaveh lies about having a boyfriend, a certain scribe he shares a home with and is oh-so madly in love with. Summary
Kaveh used to think that Alhaitham had mastered the art of ignoring him. The man would remain unflappable as he continued to read his worn copy of The Origins of Enkanomiyan Language, even when Kaveh was a hair’s breadth away from shattering the windows of their house with his severity of pitch.
No amount of screaming, threats to throw things, or violently waving in front of him could get Alhaitham to pause in his thirst for knowledge. As it turns out, Alhaitham literally just turns his hearing aids off so he doesn’t have to listen to Kaveh.
It’s for this exact reason that Kaveh has decided to learn Sumerian Sign Language.

Genuinely do I have to say anything about this. It’s so peak, and I’ll be honest I thought it was bit cracky at first (I’M SORRY) but I was proved wrong. I was proved so wrong. This fic is amazing and also permanently embedded in my mind. Will always be remembered by me. Holy Haikaveh fic. Genuinely changed my perspective on fics of this genre and just, it’s so genius, this whole thing, that I was genuinely dumbstruck a while after finishing this.

It wasn't uncommon for the exhibits of the museum to have dreams while they were still during the day. Whether this was magic granted by the tablet or just natural for them was up in the air.
Whether these dreams had actual meanings though, was also up in the air.
Jedediah and Octavius have strange dreams about eachother during the day. Dreams full of sunsets, dates and kissing eachother. And neither of them know what to do after these dreams.
