“Come back to bed.” She requested in her still sleep-soaked voice, kissing his neck as she did so. Mulder had to hold in a moan. He’d had fantasies, many fantasies, which had started with her uttering those exact words.
“I won’t sleep.” He was still much too wound up and was starting to get angry with himself for it. He had no reason to be up and every reason to be wrapped around her sleeping form in the next room while he still had the chance. “I’m too wired, I’ll just get frustrated.” He confessed quietly. Scully may have been new to sleeping in his bed but she wasn’t new to his sleeping habits – there was no point in lying to her, she knew him too well.
“Okay, so come back to bed and let’s not sleep.”Mulder can't sleep, Scully has her ways to help him unwind.
