This assignment is his favorite from Advanced Likely Scenarios in Adventuring . "De-aging, yeah? Likely issue, pretty common curse to be attached to items or bestowed by an angry deity. You might also end up with kids hanging around you, it happens sometimes. This is your practice round. One member of your party goes back to about six years old; you might get some variance between species on the specifics. Due at the end of the week is a ten page report on what you did, challenges you faced and how you overcame them, and a plan of action for future encounters." He produces a set of dice from his pocket and slaps them down on the table. "You'll roll for who takes the dip down memory lane. Now who's first?"

Summary
Series was formerly "Remus Lupin and the darkness", but evolved way beyond that.
I should probably make clear somewhere that these are standalones in that they share some sort of continuity, but occasionally veer of into different AUs at different points of the timestream. So Not By Force is definitely not where things are meant to go, it's just an exercise in misery ^^

Adaine’s fingers have been broken, all ten of them. It's an old injury, something that they must have done to her near the beginning, but they look like they were never set back right.
Aelwyn holds Adaine’s left hand in hers and traces a finger tip down her sister's crooked fingers. “Somatic components,” she murmurs. “Can't make a fist like this, huh, Adaine.”
“When the sky begins to bleed, so ends the night,” Adaine whispers. “Let the stars find new homes outside of the sky and walk once more along the broken earth.”
“Darling, are you prophesying the end of the Court of Stars right now?” Aelwyn asks. She holds Adaine's hand very gently. Adaine is in no state to tell her if it hurts when Aelwyn squeezes it. Adaine is in no state to tell her if anything hurts.
