My friend [25F] told me recently that our dynamic was "weird back then" and that "it’s even weirder" that I still think about him today. Love this so much for two (2) reasons:
1. As an AITA veteran this is sooo accurate, right down to people claiming it's fake, misgendering OP because they forget gay people exist, claiming OP is TA because of something completely irrelevant to the story at hand etc etc so good!
2. The whole reason I like Drarry is that I... also... had a high school nemesis. Who I still think/dream about often. Who I thought about after I realised I was bi and went "ohhhhh". So this scratched allll the itches

Just witnessing Mycroft and Sherlock have the same reactions I did while listening to Zurich on Christmas morning (I love my family for not only allowing me to plug headphones in at that family time but for not rolling their eyes as I shouted and giggled and possibly teared up a little) is priceless. I hope the author continues!

As much as I love all of Mirith's work - who doesn't - I must admit that this is on a new level of special.
It's sort of... carefully engineered to be canon, to be Watson's voice, and that love of Doyle's work that I've chatted to her about for years just bleeds from every paragraph and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. And then there's Holmes' reaction to Watson touching his skin, which I wasn't actually expecting but which was a gorgeously evocative image.

Seriously, possibly the hottest thing I have ever read. I didn't have much of a thing for Snape before, but good Lord do I have one now.
Now, if the author would only pick it up again and finish it, it would be perfect.

The title made me giggle, and the giggles didn't stop there. The giggles stopped approximately halfway through chapter six, when this rather abruptly became startlingly intense, angsty and passionate and beautiful and fluffy at the end.
