    There was an itch that Sanji needed to scratch, no matter how many times he’d tried to talk himself out of it. Reason after reason, excuse after excuse and yet the urge simmered under his skin like fresh meat in a hot oiled pan, spitting scalding liquid without warning, too dangerous to leave unattended. No chef worth his salt would ignore that, and though this had absolutely nothing in common with cooking Sanji couldn’t help but feel the metaphor was apt.
