Summary
From Brokenstar to Tigerstar; from kit warriors to Bonehill; some cats have to trade in mistakes for wisdom. Blackfoot knows this better than anyone.
//
One day, Brokenpaw eyes him and asks, “You’re more white than black, you know.”
Blackfoot sits up, slightly breathless after their match. “You think I’ve never noticed that before?”
“I’m just saying, it would’ve made more sense for your mother to name you Whitekit.”
“And then I would have spent the rest of my life disgraced. Don’t you know it’s considered bad luck for a ShadowClan warrior to have a white pelt?”
//
or, the exploration of a warrior always on the wrong side of history.
