    oh my god this is BRILLIANT. I love a good Sherlock Holmes crossover, especially when it's ACD canon AND written in the proper Watson narration, but by god everything here is PERFECT including meddling matchmaking Holmes. kicking my damn heels rn!!

Naturally she turns to a book for advice on courting rituals, however it fails to warn her about jealous Malfoys, the usefulness of Owl-bay, hungry horses, wizards in cricket whites, interfering elves, perspicacious offspring, the lure of libraries or the life-long loyalty of Crups. She does discover a fondness for elf-made wine and the production thereof, even though 'Château Bonfoi Elf-made Wines' has absolutely nothing to do with Lucius and everything to do with a mysterious arbiter – who is perfectly capable of telling Lucius exactly where he can stick his wand.
