He waited and waited and when James came running by in his delightful red jumper, Regulus stood.
"James Potter," he called.
James stopped to stare at him. Regulus smiled at the look of surprise on James's face and then began jogging toward him. It didn't take long, they weren't that far apart, but James didn't appear to blink the entire time.
When Regulus was directly in front of James, he pushed up onto his toes slightly and without thinking a single thought, pressed his lips against James's. Pandora did say this might be a good way to discover how James felt. Not that it mattered all that much. But it wasn't like James was going to remember it.
Regulus could kiss him every day for the next year and James would never recall what happened.
His lips were soft against Regulus's, slightly wet from the rain, and warm enough that Regulus felt like he was on fire. The only thing that wasn't pleasant was the way James went still like an animal about to flee. Regulus went to pull away, perhaps the stillness was his answer, but then James surprised him by dropping the bundle of blankets he was holding and wrapping his arms around Regulus's waist.
His hands felt so strong as he dragged Regulus forward against his chest. He'd never realized how nice it could feel, having someone hold him like this, having someone kiss him back .
When he pulled back, he felt like he was going to pass out. He was glad James was holding him.
"What was that for?" James asked dazedly.
Regulus laughed, the joyful sound escaping him instantly. "I was just checking something," he said. He pulled away, though he could have stayed there in James's arms for years. He needed to get his thoughts straight.
Besides, he could always kiss him again tomorrow. Especially now that he knew James would kiss him back. There were no repercussions to kissing James in this loop.
He bent down and picked up the dropped bundle of blankets and handed them back to a shocked looking James.
"See you later," Regulus said, turning away from him to head out of the Forbidden Forest.
James took a moment to reply, but his voice was soft when he called, "I'm looking forward to it."

The first time he woke up after the encounter with Jason in the tower, not in the Cave’s med-bay, Tim didn't think anything about it.
He had had a nightmare, nothing more. He was sleep deprived and stressed, and that made him a little bit more prone to nightmares, is all. Being all alone by himself in the tower didn’t help either. His mind was being an ass, with the Red Hood targeting him specifically and Bruce benching him until further notice, it was only natural that Tim was a little bit worried.
