It was a simple life, apprenticed to a clock maker in London. Sure, the gears were small and the mechanics complicated- but after nearly a decade of work, the challenge had faded into monotony. The only issues that plagued his day to day was the increasing pressure from his mentor to settle down and marry his daughter. Of course, Miss Francesca Bordure was a lovely lady, with eyes that sparkled like sapphires and soft hazelnut hair, but even so, not even Aphrodite herself could sway him.
Stone had been left behind when his parents had attempted to sail to America, losing their lives to a storm. Summary
Stone has never been an attention seeker. But that doesn’t mean he won’t resort to something a little drastic when he’s denied it for so long.
It’s a simple thing. Slipped in amongst the routine maintenance he does on the badniks — ingenious machines of the Doctor’s own design, but that doesn’t make them without flaw. Without exploits.
After so much time with them, Stone knows this all too well. So he waits for his chance, slips his fingernails under the corner of a panel, popping it up and open to dip his hand into the wiring. It’s a quick thing, overriding sleep mode and safety protocols with a few deft movements, lowering the weapon strength and power.
It’s all too easy to trigger the misfire afterwards.

Summary
Dr. Ivo Robotnik is a robotics engineering professor at a local university and regular visitor of the nearby Karen’s Coffee. After a sudden rebrand, he meets Stone, a barista and the owner of the Mean Bean cafe.
A few meaningful encounters ensue and a friendship forms between them. What neither of them know, is that the other is leading a secret double life that becomes increasingly harder to hide the more they spend time together.
The secret’s out! Yet it strengthens their bond and allows them to indulge in slightly more criminal funtime activities.
After a mission-gone-wrong, Dr. Robotnik is presumed deceased for nearly two years, until the two cross paths once more. Stone is ready to sacrifice everything to rebuild their life, far away from home.
