Leaving Shauna close enough to contribute a weak nod at one of Van’s classic anecdotes, but not far enough away that she can’t see Jackie, arms wrapped under Jeff’s jacket and across his waist– throwing her head back laughing at one of Randy Walsh’s doubtlessly unfunny jokes. Whatever it may be, Shauna decides then that she really doesn’t give a shit enough to wait until the party dies to fill the all consuming, aching black hole that first appeared in her chest the day Jackie became Jeff’s.
