Jinx had gotten a call from Death-Cast at 2:01 am.
At first, Jinx debated on whether or not she should answer. It was almost hard to believe, and she had to stare at her phone for a few moments for it to really sink in and for her to realize that this was it.
This was the end of all of it.
Or: A fic based off of the book “They Both Die at the End” where Jinx gets a call from Death-Cast but Lux doesn’t. They meet on the Last Friend app and spend Jinx’s last day together. (You don’t have to read the book to read this!)

Summary
Anya woke slowly. Strange, to think about that. That she woke slowly, like someone coming up from sleep to the gentle rousing of a friend rather than what was happening. Maybe it was that her body knew better than she did. Wanted to stay asleep, stay nestled with her cheek pressed into the pillow, rather than wake up for what was happening in the real world. There was a hand on her stomach and the ominous heat of a body behind her. That desperate sleep clung to her.
She didn’t need to be told who it was. She didn’t need to go through any kind of process of elimination. There was only one person who would invite himself into her sleeping quarters, into her bed, like this.
