Summary
When Quentin is back on terra firma, he brings his rough liver-spotted hand (he has an old man’s hands, it’s as weird as it is nice) to the smooth stone beneath the tree, giving the edge a long, loving pet, before squeezing the corner of the more weathered stone beside it. When he finally turns around, cracking his aching back as he does, the figure has reached the clearing, and come to a dead stop.
Quentin does the same.
Or, Eliot makes his way back to the mosaic, and two widowers discuss grief, peace, and the fact that the beauty of all life is something that we can carry with us. Always.

Summary
Arielle starts coming by the Mosaic more frequently. More than makes sense for her, really, because there’s only so much coin or trade they can afford to spend on her peaches and plums, no matter how much they both love them. But she comes by anyway, and talks with them for awhile, lets Quentin get swept away by her stories and her attention. Eliot can’t really blame her for that. He knows what it’s like to have Quentin look at you like that.
It does take him a couple weeks, maybe longer than it should, to realize that Q hasn’t... really stopped looking at him like that, too.
The story of Eliot and Quentin and Arielle, featuring a love that never comes and goes– just grows.

"It's actually pretty simple. Hedges usually only bother with it when they think someone is unloved and alone, because it's a double-whammy, see? You start dying, slowly and painfully, and you also get the knowledge that if you weren't such a dickhead and you had true love in your life, you'd be totally fine."
Q gets cursed, and Alice can't help. Magic forces Q and Eliot to cuddle and talk about their feelings.

“You get my deep, dark, never-told secret, and I get the opportunity to try and Orpheus-and-Eurydice Q the fuck out of this place,” he said, cutting through Penny’s bureaucratic power-trip. “I got it the first twelve times.”
“I would strongly advise--”
“I’m ready.”
The corners of Penny’s mouth went up, but it would have been a stretch to call the expression a smile. “No, you’re really not."
The Monster's been defeated, Quentin is dead, and Eliot has a quest of his own--if he can trust himself to complete it. An Orpheus and Eurydice remix.

“You died,” Quentin replied, staring at him in shock. He remembered digging the grave. He remembered finding the golden tile. He remembered bits and pieces of-- how many decades had they spent there?
Inconvenient memories come flooding back as Quentin and Eliot remember their time solving the puzzle. Emotional sex ensues.

“Q?”
Quentin sighed. “My cousin is getting married and I need a date?” He smiled a guilty grimace of a smile, and shrugged. “To the wedding, I mean.”

Summary
A year ago, Tony Stark flew into the wormhole above New York and slipped through space and time to live two years in the 40s, only to wake up in 2012 less than a minute later, thinking it had all been a dream. It’s been a year of healing and acceptance, of secrets, heartbreak and coping, but with Steve by his side Tony is finding ways to be happy again.
Then Steve finds Bucky.
Time fell away to bring Tony and Bucky together once, and even though it feels like no time at all between Tony and Steve, seventy years of HYDRA sanctioned horror seems impossible to overcome and when the search for answers leads them to a bunker in Siberia, Bucky seems further and further away from the man Tony loved.
But Tony wants both his soldiers by his side, so he keeps one hand held tight to Steve, and reaches for Bucky with the other and one night at a cabin in the hills, Bucky whispers, "Are you a sure thing, sweet thing?" and it seems like things will be okay.
The good days are incredible but the bad days are heartbreaking and at times, none of them are sure it will work.
But Time Stands Still when you’re in love, and now Tony, Bucky and Steve have all the time in the world to figure it out.

Later, much later, after the initial shock wears off and he can feel something other than numbness, he will attempt to contextualize this tragedy. He will compare it to all the other losses and failures he has experienced in his life, as if grief is something that can be quantified and measured against a standard. He will search for some formula that will explain why this loss feels so profoundly unbearable, why it feels like he’s had some vital organ he hadn’t previously even been aware of amputated. It will take him even longer to realize what an absurd, pointless exercise this is. That the only thing he can know with absolute certainty is that the Tony Stark who arrived at Titan is not the same man who left it.
But for now all he can think about is escaping this dusty tomb of a planet as quickly as possible.
