Jimmy kinda had to admit: he might be in a little over his head. Just a smidgen.
Rock dust showered down over him as another shot hit the rock he was sheltering behind, his hat keeping most of it from his eyes. He clutched his hat as he ducked forward. Raising his revolver, he shakily checked his rounds, finding three bullets still in the chambers. A hand groped around for his ammunition pouch on his belt, drawing a few rounds out and trying to load them with a shaking hand.
He found the right poster and held it up, glancing between the sketched face beneath the ‘Wanted: Dead or Alive’ and the man in front of him.
Yep, that was Tango Tek alright.

Summary
Jimmy's the new rancher in town, and despite having no experience raising livestock, is determined to make it in this life after finding himself as the owner of his late grandparents property. Tango is a wayward ranch hand who has been fired from every job he's ever had, and is desperate for any work he can get. Despite his reservations, Jimmy hires Tango to help out on the ranch. While Jimmy tries to hide the slow spiral of debt the ranch is falling into in order to keep Tango employed, Tango tries to hide that he's living in his pickup truck on the edge of Jimmy's land.
After a rocky start, they start learning to work together better, and each begins to realize that they have feelings for the other. Eventually, things come to a head on an evening filled with whisky spiked lemonade, and they find that they can give each other what they need, in more ways than one.

“Tango, that’s my job.” Jimmy sighed. “This time, it’s a tiny cut-“
“Don’t.” Tango warned. Jimmy continued anyway.
“But next time, it could be a knife in the back, a sword in my heart, my head on a pike. I’m prepared to die for you.”
“I don’t want you to!” Tango exploded. “Stop saying that, it’s not going to happen, I’m not letting you put yourself in danger for me!”
Deafening silence fell between them following Tango’s outburst. He had never yelled at Jimmy before. He had never been this emotional.
“Are you dismissing me?” Jimmy asked, stern and quiet.
OR
Tango is the youngest prince of the kingdom. Jimmy is his new retainer. He will stop at nothing to keep him safe.

Summary
The Nether and The Overworld rarely interact. All known portals connecting to the two were inactive and had faded from the populous' memory. Even though there have been tales of such a thing, most don’t seek out cross-dimensional travel so the portals that remained were left broken and unlit. There was a reason for that sort of thing; The Nether was a cruel and unkind place.
While Jimmy, Joel, and Grian were hanging out together, they found a ruined portal. They had the amazing idea of fixing it up, lighting it, and seeing what happened despite having no knowledge about what could be on the other side. Jimmy went through the portal, a ghast destroyed the portal's frame, and he was stranded in a place unfamiliar and strange. All hope seemed lost until a certain Nether resident offered his assistance in getting Jimmy home.
