Luffy hasn't looked away. He isn't looking at Law’s hands or his posture, but staring directly into Law's eyes, past the glare of the sun, past the cool defiance.
He looks at Law the way he looks at a closed door he intends to break down. He knows there is something rotting behind it, something Law is trying to keep hidden in the dark, and Luffy has never liked the dark.
“They aren't.” The declaration breaks the silence, Luffy's eyes still boring into Law’s with that terrifying certainty. “Gimme them, and I’ll eat them.”
Or: A reminder that a heart is only capable of blooming if it has been tended to before. That we only learn how to give love because someone, once, held us in the light.

Summary
