Summary
Rose finds a big empty book in a chest. She intends to share her experiences of the game for future players to use as a guide, but it dissolves into gay ramblings, psychoanalysis of everyone she lives with, and oversharing shockingly quickly as she tries to cope with the huge messy list of things that happened on John’s birthday.
Kanaya is mourning the loss of the Matriorb and her friends, and has no idea where to go from here. She’s got weekly Stitch ’n Bitch meetings, a newfound thirst for blood, and a mouth that won’t stop Saying Words against her better judgement. Hopefully she can make it through this in one piece.
Dave’s trying to get it together. Karkat’s confused. Vriska’s got the irons. Terezi’s got the fire. Gamzee’s… Gamzee.

Summary
Dave is a withdrawn DJ who lives with his twin sister Rose, who is an author.
Karkat has recently arrived on Earth. He doesn't understand the language and he has no place to go until he's picked up by Kanaya.
Dave has no motivation to go outside, and even less motivation to actually speak to people. Rose wants to write human/troll romance books, but she'd need the help of an actual troll to do so respectfully. Kanaya volunteers. Karkat is dragged along for the ride. Do you see where this is going?
(I'm writing this story basically to dive into how a relationship between humans and aliens would work out, it's a DaveKat story but Rose and Kanaya are probably gonna appear a lot <3 expect no major plot, this is purely self-indulgent fluff.)

A squeal to Dive Right In, I recommend reading it before this one but it can be read independently! Dave has aquaphobia and moved to a small town, coincidentally, near the sea at the beginning of the summer. He meets a few new friends, but one in particular really sticks to him, and he can't seem to figure out why.

Unfortunately for him, the World of Mages has a very different plan, one involving a few too many unexpected events for Dave’s taste. His asshole roommate is MIA - not that he cares, shut up Rose - his longtime girlfriend appears to have interest in someone else, his whole world is bristling with internal turmoil hidden beneath the surface and his mentor seems to be hiding something…
Heavily inspired by Rainbow Rowell’s “Carry On” (but the plot is still different, I promise). I highly recommend it, as it's a great book, but prior knowledge is not needed to understand this work.

Summary
Five minutes is all Dave needs to ruin everybody's lives, apparently, especially his own. An accident in the labs begins the long and painful process of transforming into a troll, and though trolls may look remarkably similar to humans for creatures that evolved on different planets in different universes, they aren't the same at all. The transformation is debilitating, and he is forced to trust Karkat to take care of him and even keep him alive as his very insides shift within him.
Rose, meanwhile, begins work on some sort of solution -- after all, Seer of Light may as well mean Knower of Knowledge, right? She should know this. But her experience with breaking the rules is of little help when there are none to begin with, and she can hardly play with fire when it's not herself at risk of burns but her newly-discovered brother.
As time wears on with no solution, the meteor crew can't help but wonder: are they doomed? Or is there redemption for their timeline yet?
