“Jon thinks he knows what you’re going to get,” Tim says conspiratorially.
“Oh!” Martin says, and turns towards Jon, holding the menu between them. “Please! I’m indecisive. What did you see?”
Jon raises his eyebrows at Tim as if asking for permission, then taps at the menu. “They have an Earl Grey French ‘75,” he says. Martin squints at the description: Earl Grey infused gin, honey, lemon juice, prosecco. Color is rising in Jon’s cheeks, he thinks, although that could just be light reflecting from the sofas. “I was mostly joking -- you can get whatever you like, of course. On me.”
“Is this from our social budget?” Tim asks.
“No, this is -- on me. Truly. After the week I just put you through, it’s the least I can do.” Jon wrinkles his nose as Martin waves down a waitress. “We have a social budget?”

I think I have seen one or two fics where Jon had his bi awakening over Martin, but I have never, not ONCE seen someone use the comedic potential of Martin realizing he's into men because of Jon
I mean, just imagine it. You're Martin K Blackwood. Your boss is awful. At one point you get a crush on him?? You like guys??? You like THAT guy????
So, that's basically the fic. Season 1 Martin develops an inconvenient work crush. It's probably fine.

“Oh!” Martin paused. “Uh, me and my mum, just…I guess we needed a fresh start.”
“Makes sense,” The boy shrugged. “That’s pretty much the only reason anyone ever moves out here.” He stood up, holding his hand out for Martin to shake. “My name’s Tim.”-
Martin Blackwood moves to the small town of Spring River with his mum, hoping for a "fresh start". What seems like a little town out in the middle of nowhere begins to reveal more and more secrets, until suddenly Martin is questioning everything he's ever known.
