“Rocky, stay here” Grace whispered, moving closer to Simon as he tried not to step into any of the pools of blood. Rocky stopped, seemingly understanding the gravity of the situation, which Grace was thankful for. He didn’t have to be next to Simon to notice he was crying, full on sobbing, his shoulders shaking as he stared down at his hand. It was covered in blood. Grace swallowed hard but kept moving, one step at a time, noticing what looked like an alien knife just a few centimeters away from Simon.
He didn’t have to be a genius to put two and two together.
The problem now was… was he in danger?

"No, it-" Graces shakes his head.
Simon is paused awkwardly by the table, one arm half outstretched as if ready to take Grace's mug at any moment and replace it with more perfect coffee somehow.
Grace swallows. "It's perfect."
You really remembered? he doesn't say. It didn't quite hit him earlier and it feels like a sucker punch to the gut now. Simon remembers how he takes his coffee after years of no contact when his last failed situationship a mere six months ago could barely remember that Grace wasn't his first name.

Simon slid the chain lock off and slowly opened the door, showing the interior of the house. There were lots of Gothic styled decorations on the walls, drapes covering all windows as dark candles dimly lit the room. Simon suddenly pulled Grace inside, taking him by surprise and slamming him against the door after he closed it. Grace yelped.
Simon was standing in front of him, those same bloody red eyes and fangs that peaked under his lips.
“Are you wearing a vampire costume?”
“It's not a costume, angel.” Simon growled.

Grace jerked back in surprise causing his glasses to slide off his nose. He clamped a hand over the bruise. His eyes went wide and his cheeks started to turn a light pink.
“F- What?!”
Rocky pointed to the mark. “Human intents on Grace neck,” he explained matter-a-factly. “Highly unusual. Simon bite Grace, question?”
“Rocky-”
“Simon try to eat Grace?” Rocky perked up. “Stupid! Grace just said have plenty of food right now!” He pointed his finger at the laptop.
Grace felt the blush on his cheeks spread. He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. “Oh my gosh, Rocky…” he muttered.
