He watches as Bokuto chuckles at the sudden question, and he watches when he pauses to think. “Well,” the athlete says, “I don’t always eat it. I’m not big on tangy fruits, but I do like how it smells. It’s my favorite!”
Keiji hums.
“Do you like oranges?” Bokuto asks in return, and Keiji blames the alcohol—blames the cold and the numbness when he sputters an immediate response: “Yeah, I do.”

Akaashi Keiji is perpetually tired, just as how his to-do list doesn't seem to end. So, excuse him if he forgets to eat the protein bar, if he types on his laptop like a maniac—excuse him if he accidentally picks up the wrong jacket.

Mafia AU
Bokuto's vacation on a (fictional) island in southern Italy should have gone differently.
But fate had it, that a harmless trip to a secluded beach turned out to be the definition of "wrong time, wrong place" and now Bokuto was to take the position as il paggio (the squire) for the breathtakingly beautiful leader of Fukuroudani, Akaashi Keiji.
Little did Bokuto know, that he had stepped into a full blown war between Fukuroudani and Aoba Johsai, where alliance mattered more than friendship and compassion was no feeling to be had.

Summary
Akaashi and Bokuto had been together throughout high school, and have been best friends ever since Akaashi attended and joined Fukuroudani's Volleyball Team. Not everything stays the same however, as even though Bokuto stays close to him as much as possible after he graduates, Akaashi has a dream of going to a special, yet prestigious university after he graduates, which only allows the best of the best.
Bokuto wants to persuade his dream of becoming a professional volleyball player, but with Akaashi on his side of course. Akaashi however, does not want to continue in his volleyball career and wants to become an editor. His dream is to attend this university. He wants Bokuto to attend with him, but he would respect his decision to persuade into his Volleyball career instead.
Bokuto chose to follow Akaashi's dream and attend the university with him, despite hating to study.
Akaashi promises that nothing would pull them apart and they'll always remain as best friends.
Bokuto believed him.

In the middle of a Thanksgiving dinner with his friends, Akaashi's boyfriend decided to break up with him. On the other hand, Koutarou suffers uncomfortable questions regarding his sexuality at a family dinner.
When the holidays come around, one should have someone so you can spend the day with them, right?
Two "lonely" guys will find company in each other during the days that one is supposed to spend with their loved ones, thus having someone with whom to survive those days.Because holidays are always better with a good looking guy by you side, right?
