Summary
Zoro's promised to look after this crew, and he supposes that includes upset cooks who smoke at 3am looking miserable in their kitchen. Maybe he cares too, just a little bit about the cook and doesn’t really want him to feel shitty — but it’s mainly just out of duty. Totally. Just his duty.
But what does he do? He thinks about his other crewmates and how they would approach a visibly upset Sanji. Nami would probably offer to listen to him and give some good advice. Usopp would give him a hug and keep him company. Robin would drink tea with him and give him her wisdom.
Zoro does none of that because he’s not Nami or Usopp or Robin. He’s Roronoa Zoro so he does the most Roronoa Zoro thing possible.
“Do you want to dance?”
It’s 3am and Zoro and Sanji dance in the kitchen to chase away Sanji’s nightmares.

Summary
“Hm,” Zoro hums considering but they fall relatively quiet after that, Sanji feeding them both tangerine pieces. Soon the entire thing is finished, and all Sanji is left with is juice stained fingers and a slightly torn, spiral peel.
He catalogues all the tears and rips made by deadly hands that have precision and incredible strength in everything but peeling citrus fruits.
Zoro is hopeless at peeling tangerines. He’s too rough, the juice goes everywhere, and it’s overall a terrible experience. Sanji hopes Zoro never learns to peel them properly.
That way he can always do this for him; peel them carefully, separate each part and give him a piece of his heart with every burst of sweetness.
The inherent romanticism of eating tangerines together at sunset.

“You’re fucking impossible,” Zoro says through gritted teeth, feeling Sanji get into his space, body pressed against his, and lips ghosting his. His hand balled up in Sanji’s shirt grips harder and he doesn’t know if it’s to push him back or pull him closer.
“Pot calling the kettle black dickhead,” Sanji points out with an irritating smile, that makes Zoro’s blood simmer. He’s so fucking cavalier and Zoro can’t stand it.
“Fuck this,” Zoro mutters, and he makes a split decision.
“Giving up, shitty Mari—“ Sanji’s cut off as Zoro crashes his lips to his.
Sanji takes a hit meant for Zoro in a fight and Zoro is not pleased.

Thankfully they found a way that could permit someone to go in Zoro’s dream. Sanji had failed, it was now his job to fix it and save Zoro. So Sanji went into Zoro’s dream to tell him to wake up and come back.
Sanji understood that Zoro was dreaming about his perfect world so of course he had become the world's greatest swordsman. What Sanji didn’t understand was why Zoro was dreaming about growing old with Sanji at his restaurant at the All Blue.
