Both notice the tension in air, but they refuse to acknowledge it. Maple (from the Canada Men's National Team) does not mind being a third wheel. In fact, he pushes both mascots to get together.

The top of the shelf had a crooked sign attached that read : “Grab your One Wish Willow!” There left only a few scattered boxes, with the size of a toothpaste box, featuring a nostalgic 1950s toy box aesthetic.
Verity seized one of the boxes. “THE ONE AND ONLY WISH WILLOW. SPARK THE MIDDLE AND BREAK IT IN HALF!” The words read on the back of it.
“You only get one wish, so make it count!”
After messing up on their first date(?), Verity uses a One Wish Willow to try to stitch back the pieces.
Next thing he knows? Mob is acting weird. More than weird. Verity can't seem to shake off the guy where moment prior he seemed like he never wanted to talk to him ever again.
