Link couldn't be sure if he was always this way; was he even remotely the same person he was 100 years ago? He was quite sure the boy he'd been had died and come back a monster, a hollow shell of bitterness and rage, blunt in every aspect but the ones that made him a perfect killer. Who remained that could offer him the truth? It felt as though everyone that had truly known him took those answers with them, leaving his life a tattered patchwork of various endings. He saw no reason not to simply allow Hyrule to come to an end as well. There was only one person in his life that offered kindness and comfort, asking nothing in return, one person that could make him feel something, rather than nothing, one person who seemed to represent a beginning, rather than an ending.

Summary
Midoriya Izuku just wanted to escape Bakugou's bullying and achieve his dream of attending the prestigious UA. He assumed the cutthroat Kunugigaoka Junior High would prepare him for that. Too bad he was immediately booted to class 3-E for being quirkless.
Shinsou Hitoshi planned for his time at Kunugigaoka Junior High to be spent under the radar. He kept his grades average and interactions with others minimal. But when an incident occurs that requires him to use his quirk at school unauthorized (even though he did it to help another student), he finds himself suspended and, even worse, in E-class.
When the moon exploded due to the dangerous villain known as the Tentacle, the last thing anyone expected was for him to want to teach 3-E. Now Izuku, Hitoshi and their classmates are expected to become assassins, kill the number one villain, and save the earth from the same fate.

Midoriya Izuku is not as okay as he pretends to be, but it won't stop him. Even if the whole world thinks he's useless, he'll be a hero.
Izuku does not meet All Might, and joins U.A. as a general student in Class 1-C. Even though he is still looked down on for his quirklessness, he is finally able to make friends without Bakugou looming over him like a dark cloud. Things are looking up, and both he and Shinsou will become heroes regardless of what anyone else thinks.
A reimagining of BNHA where Izuku remains quirkless but still becomes a hero. Shinsou deserves to be happy, and they are both my sons. The OCs are mostly to add names to the class roster, and very few of them will actually receive attention. Since the only homeroom teachers known at the moment are Aizawa and Blood King, I made Snipe the homeroom teacher for 1-C because he's Cowboy Dad.

Shinsou Hitoshi has a dream.

A new villain organization is arising in Japan, a force so large yet so infuriatingly well-hidden that Izuku wants to rip his hair out. As internships wound themselves to a close, he was propositioned with an interesting offer: pack up his things and work full-time for the Nighteye agency for a few months, no fees or waivers needed. He took the offer with open arms, relishing in doing his homework in a common room and surrounded by sidekicks like him- but he may just have bit off more than he could chew.
Hitoshi longs for the hero course. It's all he wanted since he was a child, to be someone people could rely on, who people could look up to. To be like Eraserhead, the hero he still shamefully fanboyed about whenever he walked past that classroom door. He wants it more than anything else, and he works for it. But grudges are powerful things, and with one of his closest- and few- friends on what feels like a different planet, he feels himself breaking under the stress of it all.
