Summary

But Chay. Chay has disarmed Kim since the day they met, and Kim has never known what to do with that either. especially once Chay was no longer in his life. But even then, as much as he'd longed to repair what he'd broken, he's never been able to bring himself to cross the lines Chay drew in the sand that night at the club, the first time Kim had shown up to protect him.
It’s funny, the way things all come together when Kim just stops and listens.

Summary
In a world where alphas are feared and hated, there has been large-scale eugenics designed to eradicate them. And things haven't improved for them. The alphas of the world are still openly persecuted, sometimes even hunted, and survival is a battle against not only the society in which they live, but also, more often than not, each other.
Kim is a mechanic and a runner, the face of a lot of his family's legitimate business and much of its illegitimate business as well. He's also his family's best fixer. But when the leader of a rival gang targets Porchay, all of that work takes a back seat.
The problem is this: Kim's greatest obstacle toward protecting Chay may be himself.

They say that cauterizing the wounds can sometimes be more beneficial compared to the traditional approach to healing.
Two months after Kim sends him the song, Chay decides to do the very mature thing and move on from his heartbreak. Even if that means accepting that all his unanswered questions will go unanswered. Even if that means facing the tiresome task of building some semblance of a new normalcy.
Even if that means letting Kim go and playing niceties the next time he sees him (they are family, after all).
Kim doesn’t take it too well.

Summary
Kim wants him to write, wants him to open up, and Porchay does, over and over again, flaying himself open for those eyes. The world outside is full of elongating shadows that snap at his heels, and dreams that end in blood or worse, but the studio is safe because Kim is there, and when Porchay is with him, he doesn't have to think about everything that's going wrong in his life.
Porchay starts having nightmares the day after he meets Wik for the first time. It takes him a while to figure out those two things are related.
