Summary
Every ten years, the Selection comes to Lawrence. Only the best--the smartest, the strongest, the most beautiful-- are chosen by Lawrence's patron deity, Castiel. This year, Dean knows that he will be chosen, but he has no desire to leave his mother or his brother and disappear into Castiel's compound for the next ten years. But Dean's desires are irrelevant--Castiel chooses him in the Selection, and Dean is taken to a place where desires reign supreme.
As Dean tries to find peace in his new life with Castiel, other dangers are gathering outside Castiel's domain, and these dangers threaten not only Dean and Castiel but everything that Dean holds dear.

Summary
Dean Winchester is a ghost.
He doesn't like to think about how he became a ghost (in fact, he can't really remember it beyond blood-soaked flashes of horror) but he has his friends to keep his mind off of things. Too bad that all his friends are ghosts, but they live in relative peace in an abandoned mansion in Maine. But their hard-won peace comes to an end when their house is sold and Castiel Novak, along with his niece Claire, move in.
Dean tries to navigate his attraction to Castiel--attraction made all the worse because he can't even touch Castiel. But further investigation reveals that Castiel is hiding secrets--dangerous secrets. He and Claire are hunted, and danger constantly presses in around them from all sides. Being a ghost is no guarantee of safety in this world, and when Claire and Castiel's past finally catches up with them, it will bring them all face to face with the greatest evil of all--and one that might even be linked to Dean's own past.- Language:

Dean knows it's bullshit.
But that doesn’t mean it's easy to do any different, even with his Dad long gone.
Fighting the world and with something to prove, Dean Winchester goes back to college, years after he initially dropped out. After a lot of persuasion from his found family, Dean agrees to have an interpreter assist him with his classes.
Enter Castiel Novak, a gorgeous ASL interpreter who might be even more stubborn than Dean.
