Shouto has been telling himself since he was six this was only temporary. He’s been counting down the years until he could be free of his father’s oppressive reach. He’s sixteen now but he’s not sure what his countdown should say. Every day if feels like it’s more and more likely he’ll never actually escape. The thought is crushing and it gives him a new idea and a new, shorter countdown.

“To be fair, I’m her brother.” Dabi points out.
“You aren’t allowed to pull the brother card for something like this.”
“The brother card is eternal.”
“Shut up.”
“Looks like someone doesn’t have any siblings.”

When Jeongguk moved to Japan as a kid, he met Jimin- the only Korean kid in his class. Jimin couldn’t speak Korean, and Jeongguk needed to practice his Japanese. Their fathers were old friends and they lived close-by, so, indeed, it was only natural. Fate had taken two little, ferocious kids, and pushed them towards the same direction.
Seventeen years down the line, Jeongguk guards the biggest of secrets from Jimin.
