Summary
“Come on, shit-cook,” Zoro taunts, a subtle, desperate edge staining his inflection, sporting a shit-eating grin that only irritates Sanji further. “Take another step forward. I dare you.”
“You’re being a fucking nuisance, at this point,” Sanji scoffs. “Drop your sword.”
And there it is again—like a gush of cool air to his heated skin, like melted gold settling on the tip of his tongue.
He looks at Sanji with his eye widened as warmth spreads throughout his body in a way that can only be described as unforgiving because it’s just too much to bear—the thought of waiting for something that never comes because he can’t bring himself to say what it is that he really wants.
And what Zoro wants is—
“I said drop your sword,” Sanji repeats, smiling when Enma slips from Zoro’s loosened grip. “Yeah. Just like that.”
or: During one of their heated exchanges, Zoro realises he enjoys being bossed around by Sanji.

It wasn't Zoro's fault that he had a worse sense of direction than a drunken octopus in a maze – nor would he ever admit the fact, mind you.
He'd been wandering around for what felt like hours, and the shadows swelled longer with each step.
The road grew thinner and dark; he was on a backstreet of some kind, wedged behind quiet, old buildings.
A shadow detached itself from the wall, the figure emerging from the gloom.
The man was tall and lean with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "Lost, are you?" he asked. Zoro glared, hand on his sword.
"No," Zoro denied.
The man's smile grew to show his teeth, "Then you work this alley? I've heard good things."Or: The one where Zoro gets propositioned for money (that he desperately needs), so he agrees to something (that he doesn't understand) ... And Sanji sees it all.

It’s about three months before they are to reunite back in Sabaody. It’s been a harsh two years for Zoro, but he’s proud of what he’s accomplished, and determined to keep growing stronger.
He’s training his ass off, in other words. He doesn’t have time for stupid distractions.
Which is why, when Perona barges in the middle of his training screaming about the cook of all people having sent a supposed ‘love letter’, Zoro can only roll his eyes. He’s not about to get caught in the crosshairs of pervert ‘love’ between that idiot and whoever one of their female crew mates the cook meant to send that letter to.
It’s just a little odd that it really does say ‘Roronoa Zoro’ on the front. And from what Perona read… it is, in fact, a love letter.
What the actual fuck.
