My take on the Something Blue AU.
Spike and Buffy get some alone time while under Willow’s spell. Things get hot and heavy and of course the spell breaks…yeah. At that exact moment. Things start to get more complicated from there.
After the spell is over, they quickly find out that their attraction to each other, however, is not. Buffy tries her best to stay away from Spike, but he won’t let her go so easily…They fight and they shag and they hate each other till it makes them quiver, but will they ever be friends? Will they ever be more than just enemies with benefits?
(Set in season 4, but with lots of Spuffy references from the other seasons.)

Summary
When Buffy is told that her strength in leadership is no longer needed, and she is tossed away by those she's given her life for, she finds sanctuary in the abandoned home of a stranger. No longer the confident warrior, she begins to slip into despair until Spike arrives to pull her back from the edge and lift her up. Together they find the Slayer’s Scythe and are given direction by one who created it.
Buffy and Spike alone make plans to close the Hellmouth and stop The First Evil from destroying the world. In doing so, they find something they only hoped could exist - a love so true it lasts forever.

Summary
Spike never has behaved the way Buffy expected... not even when he's a feral demon.
At the end of 'Lover's Walk,' instead of sending his goons to fight Spike, Mayor Wilkins sends them to capture him. When they return with the vampire and a bonus Slayer, Wilkins injects them with some new drugs he got from Professor Walsh over at the university. With Buffy stripped of her strength and Spike stripped of his human traits, all the Mayor has to do is lock them in a room and let the Slayer of Slayers do what he does best.
Buffy wakes up weak, injured, in chains, and at the complete mercy of her mortal enemy. Yet instead of torturing and killing her, Spike frees her and tends her wounds. She can't ask him why, because he's nonverbal. The two of them form a bond, depending on each other to escape. By the time Buffy and Spike get free of the Mayor's clutches, everything between them has changed... as has everything Buffy thought she knew about demons.Bookmarked by willabeth2012
