Summary
To mark the end of a seventeen-minute conversation about anarchy, Catra pulls up to a waking nightmare disguised as her new school. Cars are everywhere. Parents are crying and taking photos. One girl is moving her entire house into the dorm building. It’s a lot.
Catra didn’t consider this type of crowd when she accepted her full ride to this private school back in April, but she now sees her blatant oversight in 4K. She is going to have to mingle with a bunch of entitled rich kids. Maybe college isn’t so different from high school.
What a terrifying thought.
orCatra hasn’t seen her childhood best friend since the girl moved away after elementary school. She didn’t think she’d see her ever again until she met her randomly assigned roommate on her first day of university.

Maybe she didn’t belong in Bright Moon – by the time the dust settled, it was more than likely that Catra would be exiled. Of course, no one wanted her around; she played a significant role in destroying their homes in the first place. There probably wouldn’t be a spare room, anyways. Her being there was a mistake, and Catra knew a lot about mistakes.

Summary
Catra sat on the tree with nothing but the light of the entire galaxy above her and the sound of trees swaying in the gentle wind. She felt like a mistake in that moment, like everything’s stillness and serenity were disrupted by her labored breathing. As her heartbeat declined, the fog in her head lifted, and she was subsequently hit with the reality of the past thirty or so minutes.
It was unfair, her circumstance. How come she worked so hard to even be able to look at herself in the mirror -- nonetheless deserve Adora’s unconditional, life-saving love -- and still lose control like that same person who pulled that lever? She couldn’t believe she had done it again, but old habits die hard. Sure, the space-time continuum wasn’t at stake right now, but it might as well have been. She hurt Adora. The space-time continuum didn’t mean shit if Adora was unhappy.

“Why do you still talk to her, then?” Scorpia asks, a question Catra asks herself every year. Then her eyes suddenly widen. “Wait, Adora? Perfuma and I are catering for her party.”
Catra whips around so fast she feels her head spinning. She’s pretty sure a hiss comes out of her mouth. “What?”
“Yeah! Perfuma’s one of her friends, so it’s on the house. We need to be there before dinner to set decorations up. What did she do to you?”
“Nothing.” She’s technically not lying, but it does sound a bit defensive. “We grew apart.”
“Do you… miss her?”
Catra scoffs. “No.”

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.
