A few silent minutes later and there was a take away cup sitting in front of him, steam curling up from the drinking spout. Touya kept his hand on it, eyed Keigo’s fidgeting body and grinned at him, “This one’s on the house.”
“What? No, I can’t-”
“If, you tell me your name and give me your number.”
It had been a bad day, he'd skipped lunch, the college's cafe had closed early, leaving him dry of his usual caffeine, and to top it all of station repairs were forcing Keigo to take a different route home than normal.
A scent of coffee coming from a bookstore he's never seen before catches his attention and behind it, a handsome, blue eyed guy he never wants to stop looking at.

“That’s gonna bruise,” Coffee Hottie says--drawls really. He rests his elbows on the counter and grins. Keigo frowns, still not able to get his body to move off the ground.
“Huh?”
“Your head, birdie,” he says. And that has Keigo’s feathers puffing up behind him. His cheeks heat up as he reaches up to touch his head and flinches as his fingers push down too hard.
“Shit,” he whispers, looking back up at the guy who seems perfectly content to just watch him suffer. Keigo sighs, tilting his head, eyes searching for a name tag but doesn’t find one. He frowns. “Hey, doesn’t your manager require name tags or something?” he asks. And that’s really not the topic he wanted to cover but here he is. He sits up as the guy smirks, leaning in.
“Why? You need my name for somethin’?”

And you can address it to—let’s see—” He looks up, lips parted around the question that’s caught in his throat, to find Keigo leaning over the counter, tongue between his teeth. His fingers snag around Touya’s nametag, and he twists the little piece of plastic to face him, squinting delighted golden eyes down at it.
“Taeru Touya.” The flourish Keigo adds to his name sends his heart bouncing through his ribcage.
Touya’s brows furrow, and his mouth opens once, twice, three times before he finally manages to croak, pretty embarrassingly, “Are you—are you asking me out?”
Keigo’s earlier confidence seems to have returned full force now that Touya’s the one nervous, and he grins, ear to ear, piercing in his right lobe glinting as he tilts his head. “After spending this entire time flirting with you? Gee, I sure hope so!”
Or, it's the holiday season, and Touya gets a special order from the new tattoo artist across the boardwalk.

He lets out a breathy laugh, small at first before it gradually gets louder and more disbelieving. Keigo shoots him a nervous look, equal parts scared that he'd somehow broke Touya and equal parts annoyed that Touya chose this exact moment to start wheezing as if he'd spend majority of his life chain-smoking.
"I'm going to kiss you." Touya announces it low and breathless as he stares Keigo down.
Touya idly wonders why he didn't consider wishing on dandelions sooner. They've proven to be a hundred percent foolproof, after all.
