The man’s cheeks flushed, blinking rapidly as if embarrassment was something new for him.
“I am Ilya. Rozanov. I play for the Boston Raiders, my face is plastered all over the city– sorry. This was rude of me to assume.” The man– Ilya– said sheepishly.
“I guess I haven’t been far enough into the city,” Shane muttered, most of his focus on dabbing at the stain on his Reebok undershirt.
“You are new here? Maybe I can… show you around?”

Most of the time, Ilya doesn’t pick on him about it. Partly because Ilya knows when to pick and choose his battles, and any battle relating to a Shane routine is lost before it starts – but mainly because the little sleepy snuffling sounds that he insists he doesn’t make because he’s not sleeping, he’s meditating, so shut the fuck up, are really fucking cute.
But sometimes, Ilya wants – needs – his husband’s undivided attention in their last few moments of peace before another loud, hectic, and exhausting day full of other people stealing it.
Or maybe annoying Shane just enough to get him to slam the door a little bit too hard on his way out of the car, to give Ilya one quick dose of his adorable angry kitten face, is Ilya’s own form of morning meditation.
“Shane.”
Shane starts a bit, but otherwise doesn’t move or open his eyes. “Hmm?”

Team Z has a lot of people with particular quirks.
Chigiri, for example, is an absolute diva when he gets ready for the morning and takes forever in the showers. Raichi stakes his claim on his belongings simply by writing the word “Mine”. Gagamaru picks up anything and everything with his thumb and pointer finger when possible, and Bachira has no semblance of personal space. These were quirks that, though annoying, everyone got used to eventually.
With that being said though, there was one particular mystery that Team Z had yet to make sense of.
