Summary
Love is a weird concept for Thomas, only familiar in the way coffee or snow is - images caught in his brain for context but the personal experience scrubbed from his memory. He knows what love is, even feels variations of it, but he never thinks deeply about his feelings of it.
He knows that love is soft and sweet, yet all consuming and passionate like a raging inferno. Those in love would die for each other, would tear the world apart and leave it asunder for each other. Still, he doesn’t think he knows love.

“I’m here to see Casey - uh, the Sheriff?” His voice is raspy with disuse, and he fights the urge to lick at his dry lips and instead tongues at the scar tissue that creeps into his mouth.
The woman's happy squint narrows into a suspicious look- taking him in fully, Stiles guesses. He must make one hell of a sight too. He’s gangly as all get out for one, long limbed and skinny. He’s been compared to a skeleton many times. He’s wearing a worn flannel, frayed edges and holey, under which he has an oversized metallica t-shirt with torn sleeves turning it into a tank. Stiles has piercings all along the shell of his ear and a pair of lip rings. It’s all brought together by the peaks of tattoos on his neck and collar bones, with the end of one trailing along his wrist and onto the back of one hand.
She’s probably labeled him a delinquent in one smooth once-over.

Summary
What he doesn’t expect, stupidly he should add, is the fucking werewolf that bit Scott.
Stiles runs into a clearing when a hush falls through the forest, spooking him into stopping just at the edge of it where the werewolf stands on the other side. He’s gigantic on two legs, feet twisted like an actual animal's are. And the arms hang on both sides brush the ground with their length, claws thick and black like Stiles remembers. His snout is long and formed into a loose snarl, eyes crimson bright and pupils narrowed into pinpricks.
Stiles stops breathing at the sight, goosebumps rattling up his skin and eyes catching on the blood that drips down the beast's fingers. He doesn’t see how this thing could be human at any time, so monstrous and terrifying as it is.
