I looked behind me only to squint at how bright the window was; a hand shielding my eyes out of instinct. It was a hot day, the only thing saving me from a heatstroke being the fan that spun 180˚ degrees around. Unfortunately, it’s just barely cooling and the spinning blades sometimes jam, making it so that I have to smack it every once in a while. Stare a little while longer into it and I might get hypnotized, or develop a migraine. I hate summer.

An unknown force, something within me wants to drag me out. Outside of this house, where the town is. The small, quiet, and rural town. Did Hikaru possess me? There’s nothing to do there anyway, why would I? Though I guess it’s better than this. This quiet desperation is not ideal for my weekend.
(Basically Yoshiki yearning in 1st person. This is my first fic here, yes it's a bit short and yes it's not perfect but I hope it's somewhat enjoyable—watching this poor boy grieve.)

Summary
It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

Moves to drape the quilt around his shoulders and press his cheek against the xenonite ball.
Closes his eyes when he feels Rocky press against the ball too.
