Harry would like to tell him that his own life is also falling apart, thank you very much, but Malfoy wouldn't understand, and that's not entirely true. He has a place to stay, people who care about him, the prospect of a job. Even if Grimmauld Place suffocates him, the people around him are moving on with their life – leaving him behind, to pick up the pieces of the past alone – and what was once his dream job is losing its appeal day after day. But he's still in a better situation than Malfoy. And he deserves it, a little, after all. Doesn’t he?
"Merlin, Potter," Malfoy murmurs, with eyes so damp they seem about to overflow at any moment. "Remind me not to come crying on your shoulder anymore, I feel even worse than before."
"Right. Sorry. Sometimes it's hard to get out of my head.”
"Well," Malfoy says with a weak grin. "There is a lot of space to get lost in there. Considering that. You know. You don't have a brain.”
"Yeah I got it, Malfoy."
